Welcome!Ryan and Jana have been married for 18 years, beginning their marriage as horse people with a dog or two. But mushing had always been a dream for Jana.
In 2020, Ryan was going to start back country skiing and in the planning they decided that Jana would use a kick sled and a single dog to join in the fun. 2021 brought a move to Montana and some introductions later, Ryan and Jana both had sleds and 4 dog teams. They raced at the American Dog Derby in Ashton, Idaho and the Flathead Classic Race in Montana that season. Over the next two years they enjoyed racing throughout Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. In 2023 they had the opportunity to move to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan - home to the Tahquamenon Sled Dog Race, UP200, and CopperDog 150. |
Sharing our Passion
Ryan and Jana enjoy sharing their passion of dog powered sports with local youth groups and schools.
Lessons include sled dog and racing history, dog care, and musher equipment. Our hope is to inspire the next generation of mushers.

Why rescues?
|
Jana started doing foster and rescue work over 30 years ago. As she began her journey into mushing, she started out with Alaskan Huskies - but realized she needed something different. So, she returned to her roots and has built a team of rescued Malamute crosses. Many of the dogs come from negligent or abusive situations and now have found new purpose in being a team of sled dogs.
